The CWL Pro League is divided into two stages, in which sixteen best teams from around the world will compete for a serious prize pool.
CWL Pro LeagueĬWL Pro League (previously named as CWL Global Pro League) received not only a new shortened name, but also updated format and schedule. The prize pool is set at $200,000 for each of the events. The other tournaments of the season will be announced later in the season. In general there will be six Global Open events, including CWL New Orleans Open (January 12-14) and CWL Atlanta Open (March 9-11). Up to 160 teams will be able to take part in CWL Dallas Open: 16 of them will be directly invited (top 10 North American teams, top 5 European squads, and the best APAC team), the other teams will be placed in the open bracket depending on their number of points. The first CWL Global Open this season will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from December 8-10. CWL Global Open EventsĬWL Global Open events are a great opportunity to any player to get a chance to earn some cash prizes as well as Pro Points. The first four MLG GameBattles 2K tournaments will be held on November 12, 19, 26 and December 3, 2017. Teams which seeds depend on the amount of earned Pro Points will compete in a single-elimination bracket for 2000 points. MLG GameBattles 2K Tournaments are played online. The maximum amount of points earned per day is capped at 35. The Ladder is open for players of any skill level, with the first win of the day granting 15 points, and any other following win granting 5 points. MLG GameBattles Ladders is a platform in which players from North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific region can play to earn CWL Pro Points. T5/6 are placed, at random, into Group E/F, with T7/8 going into Group G/H.ĥth place in Division A & B go into, at random, Group G/H, 6th place into Group E/F, 7th place into Group C/D and 8th place into Group A/B. Top 4 in the Stage 2 Playoffs are placed into Groups A-D respectively. There is four teams in each group, two from the Global Pro League and two from the Last Chance Qualifiers. Teams will be drawn, in sequence, to choose which group they will be placed into for the Call of Duty World League Championship.
